Good central location, friendly receptionists

Receptionists were really good. Room was okay, corridors to get there little dark as took sensor but of time to work. Quite small - okay for one person as used extra pillow and put suitcase on other half bed, otherwise nowhere for it. Bathroom pretty good, would benefit from shelf but otherwise okay. Bar okay, didn't have everything listed though. Breakfast was €12, large variety/selection. However in basement long corridor between food and seating and coffee/tea in seating area. Hotel is very handy for bus/train station and old town, but not in best area for wandering alone.

Ibis Riga Centre is an excellent hotel! Highly recommend!

I love the Ibis chain! I opt to stay when possible and affordable to do so. Ibis Riga Centre did not disappoint - it met and in some cases exceeded standards! The location of this hotel was perfect! A 15 minute walk to the Old Town, a 10 minute walk to the bus and train stations, and a major shopping mall (with a Rimi Hypermarket) just across the street. There are many shops, souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby to the hotel, including fast food options - KFC, Subway and McDonald's. Check-in was efficient. Staff were extremely professional, welcoming and kind. I was in a room on the 6th floor, which meant I had a very peaceful, undisturbed stay. My room was spacious and had a wonderful layout/organization. There was a writing desk, chair, two bedside tables with overhanging lamps, a large corner luggage storage cabinet with shelving and hangers. There were mirrors throughout the room, and the lighting was aesthetically pleasant (very soft and inviting). There was a large flatscreen tv with many local and channels. About 15 + were in English, meaning I could catch up on my news and entertainment. I really appreciated the selection! There were two twin beds in the room, pushed together to create one large queen size bed. The pillows were a nice firmness and the duvet was nice and warm! The bedding felt brand new. I had a very restful sleep the one night I stayed! There were large windows in the room to let in the sunlight, and black out curtains for the evening. The bathroom had a very nice layout also - a large modern toilet, nice sink, and a walk-in shower with sliding glass doors. The water pressure and temperature were both excellent! Also provided were two hand towels, two large bath towels, a large hand soap dispenser and an in shower shampoo dispenser. There was a hair dryer in the room. The air conditioning worked extremely well in the room; the air flow was excellent. Wifi signal in the room was also exceptional - it is very secure, passwords tied to the individual room (the password is on the tv main screen). Ample electric sockets throughout the room. Breakfast far exceeded expectations. I had the most amazing breakfast at this hotel, probably the best breakfast I've had in months of travel! On offer was: scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, bacon (real bacon!), sausages, baked beans, green salad, a selection of deli meats and cheeses, smoked salmon (so delicious!), a large selection of fresh cut vegetables, whole apples for takeaway, granola and cold cereals, a selection of cakes and pastries, breads and rolls, spreads such as butter and jams, yogurts etc. Basically, there were no shortage of options for breakfast, and it was simply delicious! Kitchen staff were extremely attentive, clearing plates, wiping down tables and also replenishing the breakfast trays. There were two automatic coffee dispensers in a separate room (where the seating area is - I didn't see them at first, since they are in a separate area from the buffet). You can make coffee according to your specifications: espresso, hot water, Americano, hot milk, etc. It was nice to have real coffee, not instant, and the coffee was wonderful! There was a sizeable selection of tea that you choose from also. Breakfast starts at 7am, but I believe the hotel offers coffee and other treats from as early as 4:30am. I didn't enjoy these myself, so I cannot confirm, but I saw this information on the card in the room. I cannot express enough how good the breakfast was! The hotel also offers lunch and dinner in the restaurant on the 1st floor - where reception is located. I didn't eat here, but the food did look good! On check-in I was given a 15% off discount to use in the hotel restaurant. Staff let me store my luggage before I caught my evening bus to my onwards destination. It is very secure - they track it with a ticket that they give to you to claim back. Overall, I had an excellent stay at Ibis Riga Centre! I had a restful night's sleep, excellent breakfast and a very pleasant interaction with all of the staff. I would absolutely stay here again, on account of location and breakfast alone. Highly recommend this hotel to my fellow travellers!

Nice hotel and staff, shame about the mass tourism groups

I have had a really good stay at this hotel as love to visit Riga as it’s part of the World Heritage sites network. This hotel is part of the Accor group of hotels and it’s owned by a French company as use the Ibis budget range of hotels in the United Kingdom as they are Lgbtqi+ and disabled friendly . I was given a friendly welcome by the hotel receptionist and being a Accor rewards member a free drinks voucher and a discount food voucher to use in the hotel bar and checked into room 432 . Room was disabled friendly and next to the lift which having the hidden disabilities of arthritis and back problems and having to still be socially distanced from people because of a lung problem made room access excellent. Room was massive and had super fast Wi-Fi and a modern television which you could log into you tube for to watch movies and interesting documentaries. Only downside is that this ibis hotel accommodates mass tourist groups and coach parties which are an antisocial nuisance. Breakfast these groups are combative at 7 am in the morning, who try to take the table you are sitting on and are in your face trying to bully you to give up your breakfast table and are obnoxious and aggressive, noisy and antisocial and are also a problem when you try to check in or at at this ibis hotel reception. As someone who’s an Eco tourist these mass tourist groups are a problem as I always find them rude and bullying and aggressive as a single woman and regular traveller. Breakfast was great and the room is fabulous and the staff fantastic and helpful but I can’t give this hotel a rating of 7 out of 10 because of the mass tourist groups that frequent the Ibis hotel in Riga because of the environmental damage such groups cause and make . Ibis have a great reputation for protecting the environment so love to stay in their hotels but mass tourism groups a problem Bar staff made me excellent meals at the hotel each lunchtime and the hotel is central for the world heritage sites in Riga

Very nice hotel and clean room. Receptionist was very helpful. Floor in the room and hallway is very noicy so take earplugs. Walls are like a paper (i could hear someone snoring in the other room at night). But still very good for the prize. Could stay again

Our choice for years. The best Ibis in this planet. The service is exelent, the girls in front desk are just so kind and helpfull. The situation is perfect. Near Origo shopping centre and railway station. You can easily walk to the old town. The rooms are comfortable.
